• Account information: name, email address, account identifier, and sign-in data are handled by Clerk to provide and secure an account.
• Local profile record: historic BambooBrain profile data may include a name and email address. New sign-ins are not automatically added to this local record.
• Payment information: amount, currency, and the payment purpose are sent to Stripe when you choose to make a payment. Card details are collected and processed by Stripe, not BambooBrain.
• Technical information: essential session/security cookies and minimal server request logs help protect the service and diagnose faults.
• Device preferences: only when you allow them, this device may save theme and clock-display choices locally.

We rely on providing the requested service and maintaining its security for account and payment functions. Where optional device preferences are used, we rely on your choice.

Essential Clerk cookies are used for authentication and security. They are required for account features. BambooBrain does not currently run analytics, advertising cookies, or behavioural tracking. You can change functional device-preference choices at any time using the Privacy choices button.

We use Clerk for authentication, Stripe for payment processing, and Replit-hosted infrastructure for application and database services. These providers may process data outside the UK or EEA. Their contractual and transfer safeguards apply to their processing; review their current privacy documentation before publication.

Inactive account data is deleted after one year of inactivity. Account and local profile information may be kept longer where it is needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, or resolve disputes. You can delete your local record or your BambooBrain account at any time from the signed-in data-rights page. Payment records are retained by Stripe and may be kept where financial-record obligations require it.

Essential server logs are kept only for as long as needed for security, troubleshooting, and legal obligations. Functional device preferences can be cleared at any time from Privacy choices.

Depending on applicable law, you can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive your information, and you can object to some processing. Signed-in account holders can download their BambooBrain data, correct their name, remove their local profile record, or delete their account from Your data & privacy.

You can also raise a concern with your local data-protection authority. In the UK, this is the Information Commissioner's Office.

BambooBrain accounts are for adults and teachers only. Children must not create their own account or submit personal information directly. Teachers and schools remain responsible for deciding how learners use classroom materials and for providing any notices or permissions required for their pupils.
